New reproduction air grabber flapper for 1970-72 B-body vehicles. Replace your old, damaged or missing air grabber flapper with our replacement made to fit and function just like original.
The air grabber flapper installs on the front of the under hood air box and opens/closes along with the hood door. In the open setting it allows additional air flow through the front of the air box. The flapper is also required for a functioning hood door. It contains 2 steel arms which attach to the sides of the air grabber hood door. When the air grabber system is ON, the air vacuum pressure pushes the arms upwards which opens the door.
